The World Poker Tour Spanish Championship has begun
The World Poker Tour Spanish Championship had nearly 300 players sign up to pay the €3,200+€300 buy-in, including 2009 Main Event Final Table member Antoine Saout and player of the year candidate Sorel Mizzi.
The WPT Spanish Championship is running at the Casino Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain, and is considered something of a warm up to the World Series of Poker starting next week in Las Vegas.
PartyPoker was responsible for more than 40 online qualifiers to the event. The online poker room offers a special award to its qualifiers: a $1 million payout should any of them win, with $500,000 for the winner, and $500,000 split among the rest.
