Fred Berger is now one of six players to have both a WSOP bracelet and a WSOPC ring

The winner of a World Series of Poker event gets a gold bracelet, while the winner of a World Series of Poker Circuit event gets a gold ring, and now Fred Berger has both.

He picked up the bracelet in 2002, denying another victory for his heads up opponent Chris Ferguson, and scored the ring after beating Mike Beasley, the NAPT Mohegan Sun main event runner-up.

Berger said “It feels great. It’s my hometown and I always wanted this title. There were a lot great players here and this final table was really strong. I just took my time and tried to play hands I wasn’t behind in.”

“I plan on giving ten percent of my winnings to charity,” Berger said. “That’s how I do things.”
