World’s Largest Ship for Ladbrokes Poker Cruise

TourneyBlog Staff - 29 Apr 2010

The ship chosen for the next Ladbrokes Poker Cruise is the world’s largest -- Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas.

The poker cruise sets sail next year on Jan. 22, 2011, but players are already taking their Dramamine and checking their passports, as online poker room Ladbrokes Poker is running qualifiers for the adventure now.

The 5,400-passenger Oasis of the Seas will take the winners, qualifiers and those who buy right in on a seven-night voyage to the Western Caribbean, out of Fort Lauderdale, will include stops in Falmouth, Jamaica; Cozumel, Mexico; and Labadee, Royal Caribbean's private beach destination in Haiti.

Oasis is more than 40% larger than the next largest cruise ship, weighing in at 225,282 tons, and has seven "neighborhoods" on board. It has a 1,380-seat theater that features shows like Broadway's Hairspray, an ice skating show, a comedy club and a jazz club, and of course a casino. On top of multiple nightclubs and bars there are two dozen places to eat and a spa so amazing in needs two decks to contain it.

If that wasn’t enough, win a berth on this trip and you also get to play in a massive poker tourney!
