Around 2pm EST on Saturday, February 21, 2009, Patrik Antonius and Tom “durrrr” Dwan resumed their challenge match-up. Before Dwan stopped to take a lunch break, 92 hands into the resumed match, he had amassed a $36,000 profit.
A few hours later, the boys got back into the thick of things and played a total of nearly 1300 hands (1288 to be exact). Dwan was up more than $170,000. At the end of the session, Antonius had rallied in a bit way, boasting a profit of about $228,000 to go up over the life of the challenge by $56,178 over the course of nearly 3,000 hands.
However, there’s lots of challenge left as the duo has to play 50,000 hands. We promise to keep you posted if only so we can link to videos of Patrik Antonius like this one.
