Pokerstars the online poker room has launched a new poker league for British and Irish Poker players, the Poker Stars UK & Ireland Poker League.
The new league table rewards those who earn the most points by competing against other Pokerstars players. Stars has released a new leaderboard so players can see how they compare against others within the Britain and Ireland.
The League table is calculated according to play. Each time players enter a Poker Stars tournament, they accrue points. The more events players enter and the higher their finish, the more points are earned. At the end of the month, if players finish in the top 100 of any of the three league divisions, Poker Stars reward them with $300 free.
Pokerstars allows players to play for real money or play money and still receive credit on the League table.
Players can choose to play in any or all of the following three UK & Ireland Poker League divisions:
• Division 1 - $1 buy-in
• Division 2 - Free to enter (2,000 play money chips buy-in)
• FPP Division - 25 Frequent Player Points buy-in
