The $50M Guaranteed PokerStars WCOOP gets underway Sunday, September 5th.
The 9th year of the World Championship of Online Poker starts Sunday at PokerStars with more than $5 million in prize money over three events. All told there will be 62 events with a guarantee of $50 million over the course of the month.
To start off there will be two $200 buy-in no-limit hold’em tourneys, one of which is a 6-max, and a third event that is a $10K buy-in high-roller event.
The final event of the series will run Sunday, Sept. 26 and has a $5K buy-in, will run two days and has a ten million dollar guarantee. For this and most events in the WCOOP there are satellites for running at PokerStars, that start at a dollar and give players an economical way to get into the bigger events.
There is also a WCOOP-wide race going on, with the player that accumulates the most points over the course of the tournament series receiving a European Poker Tour Season 7 Monte Carlo prize package, and a 2011 Spring Championship of Online Poker Main Event ticket as well as a PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package.
