Starting September 5th Pokerstars is guaranteeing $50 million over 62 events

The 2010 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) final schedule has been released and boasts multiple events with seven figure prize pools.

The 2010 WCOOP starts on September 5th with a $200 buy-in NLHE Six-Max featuring a $1.25 million guaranteed prize pool. The 2010 WCOOP series has added a significant number of events compared to the year before, when 45 events were offered.

Last year’s Main Event winner was Yevgeny Timoshenko who won $1.72 million.

Players will be able to buy in directly to the various events, but Pokerstars will also be holding satellite qualifiers.

These events will allow players to score a seat into the major events by winning one or more satellite qualifier tournaments. The advantage to this route is that the qualifiers are often much cheaper than the direct buy ins.
