Scandinavians challenged to top Everest

Everest Poker named itself after the world's tallest peak, and the online poker room is calling upon Scandinavians to follow suit and strive for a lofty goal. Everest is calling on poker playing Swedes, Danes and Norwegians to qualify for the Nordic Summit, to be held in Barcelona on 24th – 25th February 2007, and will field a hefty number of them in the process. Ten Danish, ten Swedish and ten Norwegian payers- at least- will be heading for Spain in February thanks to Everest to compete in team and individual events.

Daily $3 Nordic Summit Rebuy Satellites and daily $5 Nordic Summit Freezeout Satellites will get you started, with two running each day a piece. Winners here gain entry into a $22 Barcelona Nordic Summit Finale running every Tuesday in January.(Players can buy right in to these events if they wish.)


Five winners of each Nordic Summit Finale will for Barcelona, along with the top eight point earners from each of the three countries and two qualifiers from each country through special promotions.

Playing in the five Finales earns points for players- the top 50 finishers in each Finale are awarded points as follows:

3rd : 22 points
4th : 19 points
5th : 17 points
6th : 15 points
7th : 13 points
8th : 11 points
9th : 9 points
10th : 7 points
11th-20th: 5 points
21st-30th: 3 points
31st-40th: 2 points
41st-50th: 1 point

After the last Nordic Summit Finale on 30th January, Everest Poker will send the top eight point earners from each country to Barcelona with $600 in travel money.
