The WSOP Academy is bringing back its successful ladies edition from June 6 – 7, 2008. The event will be held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Annie Duke is making her return as hostess of the event. Joining her in instructing the ladies in the finer points of the game is Alex “The Insider” Outhred. Joe Navarro, who honed his insights on human behavior in the FBI, will also lead a special seminar about tells. He’ll also include information about traditionally male and female “default” behaviors and how you can apply this knowledge on the felt.
The two-day event costs $1,699 and ends with a special tournament. The top four finishers will receive an entry to either the $1,000 Ladies NLHE Championship or the $1,500 preliminary WSOP event of their choice.
A maximum of 100 players can attend this event. Last year’s Ladies WSOP NLHE Champion, Sally Ann Boyer, won her seat to the event at the WSOP Academy camp. She defeated a record field of more than 1200 females to take the top prize of $262,077.
