Deanna Goodson - 2 Apr 2009

The third season of the Ladies Poker Tour has 8 stops, including one in Spain, between April 18 and November 7, 2009.

The Betfred Ladies Poker Tour kicks off on April 18, 2009 at the Alea Casino in Leeds, England. Players can qualify for the tournament at Betfred Poker for as little as $2. They also have weekly satellites each Thursday for $16.50.

Jon Wilde, the spokesperson for Betfred said, “Online qualification is well underway and has been a roaring success, so we fully expect the Leeds event to attract some of the best female players in the country.”

Betfred is adding £1,500 to the prize pool for each tournament. The winners of each will be brought together for the Grand Final on November 21, 2009. One lucky lady will receive a £20,000 sponsorship package. She’ll have to face reigning champion Lynne Beaumont, however, for the honor.
