Russian Poker Tour 2009

Henrik Kjellberg - 5 Dec 2008

Poker was recently recognised as a sport in Russia and this has fuelled a huge increase in the number of Russian poker players who are enjoying considerable success in global tournaments with players like Alex Kravchenko, Ivan Demidovm, Kerill Gerasimov, Alexander Kostritsin and Yevgeniy Timoshenko cashing out in tournaments globally.

Poker Stars has reacted to this growth by launching the Russian Poker Tour which is scheduled to begin Jan. 25-Feb. 1 in historic St. Petersburg before moving to Moscow February 22nd to 28th.

The St. Petersburg Russian Poker Tour stop will carry a $5,000 buy-in, while the Moscow event will carry a $10,000 buy-in.

You can qualify online now for your seat in the Russian Poker Tour. You can satellite in for as little as $2.22 or 111 Frequent Player Points from now until Dec. 30 at Pokerstars.
