Samuel Chartier Wins Caesars Circuit Championship

Deanna Goodson - 16 Mar 2009

On Saturday, March 14, 2009 the final table of the WSOPC Main Event at Caesars Atlantic City got underway. The table was full of poker talent including Alex Bolotin with his nine WSOP cashes and Matt Brady with a million dollar takedown in Aruba last fall.

However, the final two players, John Nixon and Samuel Chartier had little to no experience prior to this event. Both men are also Canadians and they played one helluva match.

In the end, Chartier overtook Nixon to claim the title, the top prize of $322,944 and the circuit ring as well as the 2009 WSOP Main Event seat.

Here are the final results:

1) Samuel Chartier - $322,944
2) John Nixon - $177,619.20
3) Frank Vizza -  $90,828
4) Michael Michnik - $70,644
5) Alex Bolotin - $60,552
6) Matt  Brady - $50,460
7) Jason Young - $40,368
8) Chris Klodnicki - $30,276
9) David Zeitlin - $20,184
