Party Poker is one of the largest online poker rooms in the world and has a reputation for loose, wild action. The Party Poker network capitalizes on a string of humorous commercials on TV and the web to draw in players, and the loose games can be found at practically all levels.

The very high traffic means tournament and cash game play is ongoing, 24/7, with an emphasis on the hold’em tables but still plenty of action in the other game types. The software is well supported although lacking in many special or outstanding features. Mutli Table-ing is well supported, although again Texas Hold’em is the favored game.

Pacific Poker is the online poker room of the 888 Holdings group, which also owns Casino-on-Net. This results in a lot of cross traffic, which can mean a lot of casino players who don’t know poker shipping chips to those that do. Pacific Poker has been around for a while and always offered great service to their players, but a recent overhaul of the software has improved things even more.

There are often major event qualifiers running at Pacific Poker, as well as a number of guaranteed events. Cash game traffic is decent, and the game variety is above average, as are the graphics and a few special features new to the site. Advanced search functions, instant hand replays, 3D avatars and the like are icing on the cake for Pacific Poker regulars.
