The first major tournament to be held on Russian soil, the Moscow Millions took place in December 2007 at the Kosmos Casino and Hotel in Moscow.

Won by Lithuanian-born poker pro Antanas “Tony G” Guoga, the tournament had a total of 53 entrants and a $10,000 buy-in. Tony G made headlines for giving away his $205,000 first place prize to a Russian orphanage.
