Katja Thater Wins Razz Bracelet

Through skill and iron will, the beautiful 40 year old blonde sat down at an intimidating final table. Her competitors had 13 WSOP bracelets between them and included names familiar to poker-philes everywhere such as Men "The Master" Nguyen, Paul "Eskimo" Clark and O'Neil Longson, who won this very same event two years prior.

Thater, a member of TeamPokerStars , sat comfortably mid-pack at the start of the final table with 117.5 chips. However, she'd make quite an impact quickly by drawing first blood and knocking out both Nguyen and Daubert on the same hand. Eskimo Clark, who survived a stroke just a few days ago, took out Mark Vos soon afterwards. The big man would bust out in fourth place, an amazing feat considering his condition.

Longson, who began the day as the chip leader, couldn't make repeat his previous win in this event. He followed Eskimo to the rail in third place, leaving Larry St. Jean to battle it out with Thater.

Lady Horror, a nickname she hates but is unfortunately stuck with, grinded out the win. She's got five WSOP cashes and has made two final tables. She is the first woman to win a bracelet in an open WSOP event (the Ladies Event is women-only so a lady will always win it, y'all!) since Annie Duke won the $2,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Split event in May of 2004.
