Alain Roy Partakes of Victory in Partouche Poker Tour Main Event

480 players entered the Main Event of the Partouche Poker Tour in Cannes, France. The 4-day NLHE tournament had a massive prize pool of 3.2 million euros and was held at the luxurious Palm Beach Casino. Narrowly missing the final table was Gus Hansen . The Great Dane finished in ninth place. He was one of several pros to make bank in the event including the Mizrachi brothers, Michael (14th place) and Robert (15th position) and the Prince of Poker himself, Scotty Nguyen (44th place).

48 players earned money in the event, taking at least $15,983 USD back to their homes with them. The French dominated the final table with Stephane Bazin and Alain Roy in the chip lead as the action got underway. In the end, Roy would face a Swiss player by the name of Claudio Rinaldi in heads-up play.

With country honor and more than one million dollars at stake, Roy emerged victorious from the heads-up match-up.
