The Everest Poker European Cup was taken down by Pär Wennström from Gällivare after the two-day event at the Casino Vilamoura in Portugal. Wennström started slow but took control of the Everst Poker European Cup tournament during the opening day and kept playing solid poker on day 2, and was in third place when the final table began. Eventually Wennström faced Richard Dutour in the heads-up match for the Everest Poker European Cup title.
