Justin Allen Wins World Series of Poker Circuit New Orleans Main Event
Justin “Lockdown Tex” Allen defeated 102 other players to take the World Series of Poker Circuit New Orleans title at Harrah's in the Louisiana capital. The $5,150 WSOPC Main Event was part of the 2008 Winter Bayou Poker Challenge.
Allen, a 21 year old poker pro from Dallas, TX has only recently begun playing in live action events. The former college student defeated Larry Price of Greta, LA in heads-up play. Price had a small chip advantage when heads-up play began. Unfortunately, Price lost a key hand with an A,2 against Allen's pocket sixes.
Soon after, the tournament was history and Allen won. These are the results:
