Queen of Hearts Team Set for WSOP Ladies NLHE Championship in 2008
On Sunday June 8, 2008 the cards will be in the air at the start of the Ladies NLHE Championship. Last year 1,286 players, myself included, comprised the biggest field yet. This year promises to be at least as big…if not bigger.
The Queen of Hearts, a team comprised of celebrity players and poker professionals, will be joining in the action for the third year in a row. The brainchild of Lisa Tenner, the Queen of Hearts team helps raise funds for the Nevada Cancer Institute. Team members include poker professionals such as Pamela Brunson, Maureen Feduniak, Barbara Enright, Clonie Gowen, and Susie Isaacs.

Author and honorary team captain, Jackie Collins, will help kick start the festivities, but is not expected to play in the tournament. So far, Queen of Hearts members have donated $10,000 to the Nevada Cancer Institute in '08.
