Filling TheV0ID with Poker

The 2007 WCOOP concluded last weekend with a $2,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Main Event. The winner of the event was guaranteed to be a millionaire. However, he or she would have to beat 2,997 other players to get there. The WCOOP Main Event winner wouldn't have it easy. Some of the folks standing in the way included last year's champ, JC Tran, Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker, Katja Thater, Daniel Negreanu, Jon “PearlJammer” Turner and Chad Brown.

Sitting pretty at the final table was Brown's galpal, Vanessa “Lady Maverick” Rousso. The Poker Stars' sponsored pro made it all the way to three-handed play but was eliminated by ka$ino, who entered heads-up play well ahead of the game.

However, half an hour into that match-up, TheV0ID pulled near even in chips. After a big hand, he overtook the lead from his opponent, who immediately decided to talk chop. V0ID calmly typed, “not now when im in front,” an obvious reminder to ka$ino's previous refusal to make a deal.

After two hours of heads-up play – an eternity on the 'net – and without any deal whatsoever, TheV0ID emerged victorious.

Here are the results:

1) TheV0id - $1,228,330.50 2) ka$ino - $850,782.50 3) LadyMaverick - $463,940.50 4) HelmetSky - $382,245 5) mpg1000 - $307,295 6) nitbuster - $232,345 7) E-Daddie - $163,391 8) ma015 - $103,431 9) Fischer80 - $59,960
