The World Series of Poker is in high gear. However, it's not the only game in town and, for the vast majority of us, it's not even a game we can play without a little help from the online poker rooms. The folks at PokerStars and Full Tilt have sent a ton of players to the WSOP in years past. This year is no exception.
This past weekend while folks in the US were celebrating Father's Day, these two sites came through in a big way. PokerStars guaranteed 150 Main Event Seats and Full Tilt guaranteed 100.
Wait - it gets even better! At PokerStars, almost 7,000 folks put up $350 to win one of 220 $12,000 prize packs. Online giants like IBluffUOut4, who made the final table of both the Full Tilt Poker Weekly $400,000 Guaranteed and the Poker Stars Sunday Millions on April 8th this year, and JasonGray took down one of those coveted prize packs.
At Full Tilt, 3,338 entrants paid to play. This drove the total $12,000 prize packages given out to a respectable 139. Seat winners included Steve "gboro780" Gross, timkrank, FundMyAudi and Wake, among others.
