WCJOKER Tramples Field at FTOPS VII HORSE Event

HORSE is a mixed game in which five different brands of poker are played, usually at the limit level.

H = Texas Hold'em O = Omaha Hi/Lo R = Razz S = Stud E = Stud Hi/Lo

Every time the money level changes, so too does the game. Many pros feel that this game is the one that should be played as the Main Event at the World Series of Poker.

Full Tilt Poker is one of the few online sites to offer this game. It's been a staple in the FTP stable of poker variants for several years now and, although it's still not as popular as Texas Hold'em, the game is always a decent draw at the FTOPS. HORSE brings out the serious rounders. Bill Edler and Farzad Bonyadi both made it deep in the event.

Edler won the Gulf Coast Poker Main Event back in September 2007 and has amassed lifetime tournament earnings in excess of $3,000,000. Edler earned nearly $2k for his 25th place finish. Bonyadi, a member of the Full Tilt team and the highest ranking pro in the field in this $500 buy-in HORSE event, won his first WSOP bracelet in Limit Hold'em in 1998. Since then, he's added two more World Series titles to his resume while continuing to be a factor in the biggest cash games in the world. Bonyadi took fifteenth place in this tournament. He was one of 623 entrants in the event.

The title went to WCJOKER after a heads-up match with online superstar DontBluffMePLZZ, aka Jerry van Strydonck. Of course, van Strydonck is no stranger to FTOPS glory, having taken a title last February in the third event of the third installment of this series, a $750,000 NLHE Guarantee.

These are the final standings:

1) WCJOKER - $72,236.85 2) DontBluffMePLZZ - $47,503.75 3) Ram33 - $33,019 4) FLOPSUCKER - $21,182 5) BlackJackLeak - $13,083 6) Jens Voertmann - $9,033.50 7) madmaddog - $6,853 8) MerkMerkMerk - $4,762.50
