Kenny Tran, a cash game specialist who made the final table of the 2007 WSOP $50,000 HORSE Championship, which Freddy Deeb won, presided over the festivities Friday night at the FTOPS VI. The Full Tilt -sponsored pro hosted the $216 buy-in Limit Hold'em short-handed event. (Now that's a mouthful, right?) 1,057 peeps paid to play bringing the total prize pool up to $211,400. JBombs hit the top spot, earning over $44k as well as the special FTOPS championship avatar and jersey. Jon “PearlJammed” Turner continued his successful FTOPS run with a 60th place finish. He was the only FTP pro to make bank in the event. Here are the results: 1) JBombs - $44,076.90 2) mitticorino - $29,384.60 3) Eila - $20,928.60 4) mordi20 - $15,643.60 5) CHUCKTAYL0R0 - $11,204.20 6) nutella - $7,187.60 Indonesian-born John “JJ” Juanda with his five WPT final tables, 3 WSOP bracelets and multiple best all-around player awards is a fearsome competitor. The calm, cool and collected man is one of Full Tilt Poker's most popular pros and a truly fantastic choice as host of the richest event of FTOPS VI, the $2,620 Two-Day NLHE extravaganza. 698 people paid to play in this whopper of a tournament including 26 Full Tilt Pros such as Beth Shak, Ram Vaswani, Huck Seed and Max Pescatori. Play ended for the day at Level 15. 89 folks remained, only two of which were FTP pros. Aaron Bartley and Scott Clements were sitting near the bottom of the pack in 76th and 86th place respectively. 20SUCKOUTZ stood atop the chip heap with more than 140k in his stack and Danish pro Soren “Kongsgaard” Kongsgaard, who finished 3rd at the EPT Grand Final earlier this year, hovered in fifth place with 102,988 chips. On the second day, 17 people left the action before the bubble burst. 72 people made bank. Clements narrowly missed the money with a 77th place finish, but Bartley played his short stack very well, making it all the way to the final table with Kongsgaard. Bartley took sixth and Kongsgaard made it to heads-up play against the eventual winner, wuddacooler. These are the final standings: 1) wuddacooler - $418,800 2) Kongsgaard - $261,750 3) Don K The Hutt - $196,312.50 4) heyfreddy - $148,325 5) cobey - $113,425 6) Aaron Bartley - $78,525 7) Sircall - $54,095 8) amak316 - $41,880 9) jman5j23 - $31,410 Eddy Scharf has two WSOP bracelets, both in $1,500 Limit Omaha. The German pilot held court at Event #14 during FTOPSVI, a Pot Limit Omaha Rebuy with a $109 buy-in. 983 people played in the event, driving the prize pool up to $309,200. Jon “PearlJammed” Turner made the money in 89th place as did game theorist and multiple WSOP bracelet winner, Steve Zolotow (73rd). However, it was Clonie Gowen who really brought things home for the FTP pros. The lovely lady, who won the inaugural WPT Ladies Night event in 2003, narrowly missed the final table. Her tenth place finish netted her $3,199.60. Here are the results: 1) Kavin86 - $77,464 2) Rollover2k - $48,836 3) NastyBeet - $36,206 4) RambelingE - $27,786 5) Dabadestchic - $21,050 6) ilovephish - $15,156 7) THEnaturalACE – $10,104 8) amrasaralond – $7,881.12 9) NotoriousBIL - $5,725.60 Erik Seidel has eight WSOP bracelets and is on the top ten list of all-time World Series of Poker money earners. The former backgammon player and Wall Street trader spent Sunday at the FTOPS's first-ever No-Limit Knockout Tournament. The $150 + $13 buy-in event has an added bonus. Players get bounties for every player they knock out of the tournament so you don't need to make the money to … win some moolah. Sweet! 153 folks made bank, but we're sure many more took home some goodies for KOs. 2,616 signed on for the event, more than tripling the guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. These are the final standings: 1) G de Ipanema - $67,492.80 2) moronamus - $43,948.80 3) czee2212 - $31,784.40 4) Da OC - $25,506 5) jbiz333 - $19,243.30 6) mnymyway - $14,126.40 7) BCHGTR - $9,103.68 8) bigt8ter - $6,592.32 9) Lobber1 - $4,667.99 Lee Watkinson, the 2004 CardPlayer “Player of the Year”, was on hand for the biggest – and last – event of the FTOPS VI on Sunday evening. The $535 buy-in tourney, a NLHE Main Event, attracted 4,371 people. This shot the prize pool up to $2,185,500 with more than $385k going to the top finisher. Aaron Bartley, who made the final table in event #13, also did well here. His 386th finish was good for nearly $1,000. David Chiu, winner of the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions in 1999, took 167th place and Mark Vos, who earned his first and only (to date) WSOP Bracelet in 2005, was the 76th place finisher. Eddy Scharf made the most out of all the FTP pros in this Main Event. His 22nd place finish put $8,086.35 into his player account. However, the big story of the night was fkscreennames. With his aggressive and fearless play, he cruised to the title. Here are the results: 1) fkscreennames - $385,937.45 2) southside1 - $233,629.95 3) mendieta19 - $152,985 4) kavicarter - $120,202.50 5) eisenhower1 - $90,261.15 6) 007Paghman - $66,876.30 7) THEONE213 - $50,266.50 8) SwingRoll - $39,339 9) HipHopNDontStop - $29,285.70
