mypokerlife Takes it to the Limit at FTOPS VIII
Mike Schneider, a member of CardRunners.com, a leader in online poker video instruction, has earned more than one million dollars in tournaments. In 2006, he had his biggest live cash to date by taking down the Party Poker Million V. A limit hold'em specialist, Schneider was in on the action at the 20th event of the FTOPS VIII on Friday May 16th 2008 at 21.00 ET.
The short-handed limit hold'em event drew in 915 players and fell short of the 1,000 needed to make the guarantee. That was great news for those who made the tournament as they got a bigger value out of their buy-in buck. 120 of these players earned money in the tourney, none of these were Full Tilt Poker pros.
Well-known online rounders such as KudelyKQ, Johnny GStaks and EMSBas, who already has a title from the FTOPS VIII ( Event #4, Pot Limit Hold'em ) under his belt, made some cash in the event.
The final two players were mypokerlife and WinHumble. In the end, 'life' won out over humility as mypokerlife raked in the last pot and won more than $41,000.
These are the final results:
1) mypokerlife - $41,700.00 2) WinHumble - $27,800.00 3) vetiver - $19,800.00 4) ChosenKid - $14,800.00 5) th_IN_kB4Urail - $10,600.00 6) mischiefofmagic - $6,800.00
