However, that number fell far short of the amount needed to meet the guarantee. Jeremy “whitewollfe” Gregorio, a former winner of AbsolutePoker's Saturday $150,000 Tournament (July 5, 2008), made it to the final table of this event. He finished in 10th place, adding $2,000 to his tournament take. Also finishing strong was Joe “ender555” Ebanks.
Ebanks is a fixture on the online tournament circuit who regularly cashes in the biggest events including the WCOOP, Daily Rebuys and Bounty events. He has handles not only at UB but also at Absolute, PokerStars, Full Tilt and Bodog among other rooms. enders555, who has amassed more than half a million online already in his online career, received $9,000 for his sixth place finish on Sunday.
In the end, however, only two players remained – FlopNutsOnYou and rockyc27. Despite making two previous top 20 appearances in this tournament, rockyc27 had yet to crack the final table. FlopNutsOnYou hadn't until this point cashed online. When the final pot was counted, rockyc27 claimed the chips, the title and the $45,000 first place purse.
