th_IN_kB4Urail Takes Title at Full Tilt on June 8, 2008
Full Tilt had to pay out $50,000 this weekend to meet the $750,000 Guarantee on Sunday. 3,500 people entered the event. The final table was chock-full of online pros. billytk01, who won this same event on May 4, 2008, finished in 7th place. JohnnyGstaks, winner of the Sunday $100k at Bodog on January 27, 2008 and a 20th place finisher in the FTOPS VII Razz Tournament this past Valentine's Day, claimed the fifth position and more than $31,000.
Jason “Jcarver” Somerville made it all the way to heads-up play. Somerville, who also uses the moniker 'taknapotin', has earned first place finishes in this event (9.16.07) and in the Ultimate Bet Sunday $200,000 (4.13.08). All tolled, he's generated $727,871 in online income as a poker player. Somerville, however, couldn't defeat his opponent, th_IN_kB4Urail.
th_IN_kB4Urail, a relative newcomer to the online scene – at least using that name – has three cashes spread out over the FTOPS VII and FTOPS VIII. This is his first Sunday $750,000 title and his biggest payday to date.
