waffle1215 Wakes Up Competition at Full Tilt Poker on September 28, 2008
3,454 players entered the Full Tilt Sunday $750,000 on the last weekend of September 2008. This required that the online home of poker pros such as John Juanda and Scott Fischman, both of whom are currently sitting at the final table of the World Series of Poker Europe, paid out nearly $60,000. Some big names made some moolah in the event including Lee Watkinson (33rd place - $2,250), Justin “WPThero” Rollo (31st place - $2,250) and castellimich (19th place - $2,775).
WhitneyHouston1 even made the final table. Oh yes! She finished in fourth place, taking down a respectable $41,400 which will go a long way towards helping her finance her next album, right? (We're just playing…luv ya, Whitney!)
The final two combatants in the event were waffle1215 and DukeTheDude. With more than $50,000 between first and second, each wanted first place badly. In the end, waffle1215 raked in the last pot, claimed the additional cash and took the title.
Here are the final results:
1) waffle1215 — $132,788 2) DukeTheDude — $80,250 3) TheCloserX5 — $52,500 4) WhitneyHouston1 — $41,400 5) dubbydub2002 — $31,050 6) Baumerball — $23,025 7) Reinders — $17,250 8) flymaxx — $13,500 9) bigtoe2227 — $10,050
