New development with Raymer assailant.
With the tryptophan still working its magic on my synapses and the scent of stuffing still in the air, it's easy to stay in the Thanksgiving mood, and a recent story that touches back to the 2004 attempted robbery of WSOP champ Greg Raymer gives me one more reason to be thankful.
You may recall the story- two men tried to rob Raymer of $150,000 at gun point in the hallway of the Belagio, but the Fossilman fought them off. They identified by casino cams and were arrested and jailed some time later. One of them, a man known as Cassim, had recently worn a wire for the Feds and brought them valuable information regarding a high profile murder case, and has managed to buy his freedom. This strange and sordid tale makes me thankful that, for the most part, the world of poker seems to have risen far above the murky, underworld status of yesteryear.
Glad Raymer is still around, too- you can try and take money from him in an acceptable way, but playing him at Poker Stars !
