Andrew Black once gave up on the material life to retire to a Bhuddist monastery, and when he returned to the world of pro poker he brought his Zen with him. Now the Irish poker star will be playing in a charity poker event on May 23 in order to benefit Voluntary Service Overseas. The event will sponsor a family traveling to The Gambia to support their efforts in one of the poorest countries in the world.Black, who made the final table of the World Series of Poker in 2005, will not only play poker but teach it as well. During the event, taking place in the Westwood Hotel, Black will teach a Poker Master class. Details are available at andyblackpower.com.
