What's On Tap at the WSOP on June 9th and 10th
The “queens” have taken over the World Series of Poker. The WSOP Ladies No Limit Hold'em Championship got underway on Sunday June 8, 2008. Celebrities, amateurs and pros took to the felt in droves. 1,190 ladies in all 'shuffled up and dealt' the first hand of the day. Today, the ladies will play down to the final table. 61 remain including Olga Varkonyi, wife of former WSOP Main Event champ, Robert.
Several events were resolved over the weekend including the Heads-Up showdown, which was won by Vegas businessman, Philip Tom. Other champs crowned over the weekend included Rep Porter, short-handed hold'em winner, and Farzad “Freddy” Rouhani, a true poker stud.
