Arieh & Ng Dominate at Bodog Poker Open Early Events
Bodog is in the midst of its very first online tournament series. The Bodog Poker Open began earlier this week. Event #1 saw 377 entrants, many of them online and live action superstars. Annette “Annette_15” Obrestad, Kevin "beLOWaBOVe" Saul, Marco “CrazyMarco” Johnson, John “PearlJammer” Turner and a slew of other well-known individuals took to the felt for this $250 + 20 NHLE competition.
Bodog sponsored pros Evelyn Ng and Josh Arieh placed second and third in the tournament, earning nearly $30,000 combined. In the end, rusostreet beat 'em both, claiming the title, the seat to the Main Event on Sunday March 9, 2008 and $26,062.50.
3pounder netted the win in Event #2 of the Bodog Poker Open. This $300 + 25 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em contest saw 249 entries. The top 27 took a piece of the $84,700 prize pool pie including alcarmo (6th - $3,811.50) and runner-up pepsiontherocks ($14,822.49). 3pounder received $23,292.50 for his efforts as well as a seat to the $25K Main Event.
