Sleepy_Hippo Wakes up the Competition at FTOPS VII
Peter Jepsen turned to poker while recuperating from a knee injury incurred as part of his stint in the Danish Royal Army. That was over three years ago. Since then, the talented poker player has gone on to a third-place finish at the 2006 Caribbean Poker Classic and a win at the EPT Poland in 2007. Jepsen, who plays online exclusively at Full Tilt Poker , hosted Event #8 at the FTOPS VII. The $120 + 9 Short-Handed Knockout Hold'em Tournament drew in the maximum number of players Full Tilt can accommodate for a match. 6,000 people paid to play in this event including Full Tilt's resident blogger, Michael Craig. Craig, author of The Professor, The Banker and The Suicide King, lasted a mere two and a half hours before busting out.
Ben Roberts and Paul Sexton both finished in the money. However, the title belonged to Sleepy_Hippo. He earned more than 1/6th of the $600,000 prize pool.
