jornx Journeys to the Top at FTOPS VIII
1,811 players took to the virtual felt on Saturday afternoon as part of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) VIII. They joined event host Hans Martin Vogl for the $100 + 9 NL Hold'em Rebuy. The event, which was guaranteed at $500,000, due to the nearly 2700 rebuys and 1,041 add-ons, wound up topping the $550,000 mark.
Stuart "The Donator" Paterson was the bubble boy. The Full Tilt Pro, who has a degree in business management and took sixth place at the Borgata Poker Classic Main Event, finished in 262nd place, earning no money. The highest FTP finisher was none other than Erick "E-Dog" Lindgren. Lindgren took down the 13th spot, earning more than $4500.
Jorn "jornx" Walthaus emerged victorious from the final table, winning the event and the top spot. He defeated Sebop in heads-up play.
