On Sunday February 17, 2008 Poker Stars capped off a week of a frenzied Frequent Player Points FPPs) Promotion with the $2 Million Turbo Takedown. Players could buy into the event direct for 10,000 FPPs or satellite to the event for a fraction of that. 9,600 players took to the felt in the event. The top 4,000 made some money. About 100 of these earned at least $1,000.
Although qbgoose was at the top of the chip heap as the final table action got underway, he couldn't ride the wave of success all the way to the top. He finished in fifth position, earning $50,000. The final two players were tobededope and mombasi. They tried but couldn't agree upon a deal.
In the end, mombasi won the day and the $200,000 prize that went along with it.
